This notice describes our handling of any personal data you provide through our applicant management system platform CCC’s people management software during the recruitment process.
The types of data we receive and how we use it

Information you provide as part of your application. This includes information you provide when you apply such as your name, contact details, work experience, and education. Where permitted by local law, CCC may request, and you may have the option of providing certain sensitive personal information with your consent for diversity and inclusion tracking.

Information from third parties. We receive information from third parties in connection with your application, such as outside application platforms (like Yello), external recruiters, social media sources (such as LinkedIn), your past employers, and references you provide, and background check providers (with your consent) which we use to evaluate your application and verify your credentials.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect from or about you to evaluate your application and to contact you.
In compliance with our security protocols, we will require you complete a background check upon being hired, or possibly during the recruitment process. Any information we acquire during your background check is used solely for employment purposes and will be kept confidential. If you fail to complete your background check, then we may stop considering your application or terminate your employment. Our background checks are carried out by a third-party provider, and we ensure that both we and the third-party comply with all relevant laws in conducting any background check and handling of your personal data.
If you aren't offered a position with us, we may choose to retain your application information to consider you for other opportunities at CCC you might be suited for. We will retain this information for 5 years after your most recent application.
How we share your information
We share your information with companies who perform services on our behalf. These companies are prohibited from retaining, using, or sharing your information for any purpose other than providing their services to us. These categories of recipients include portal providers, IT service providers, and background check providers.
Security
CCC implements and maintains security measures to protect the information submitted to us from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.
However, no physical or electronic security system is impenetrable, and there is no completely secure or error-free method of data transmission over the Internet. As such, CCC cannot and does not guarantee the security of your information, nor can CCC guarantee that information you supply won't be intercepted while being transmitted to CCC over the internet or other networks.
Your Rights
Depending on your local regulations, you have the right to send us a request to access, correct, delete, or limit the use and disclosure of your personal data in our possession and we will respond in accordance with the applicable requirements. If we cannot comply with your request due to legal restrictions or because we cannot locate your data, we will let you know. These services are provided free of charge.
